What you've been doing abroad: So far, I have absolutely LOVED Rome. Italian culture is very different from American culture, but it is extremely refreshing to experience. Some of my favorite things to do in Rome are having lunch on the Spanish Steps, visiting the Trevi fountain at night, and seeing the view from the wedding cake monument at sunset. I have also had the amazing opportunity to travel around Europe and visit countries such as Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Czech Republic and many cities in Italy. With each new place I gained first hand knowledge about each place’s culture. One of my favorite things to do in each new place is to ask the locals which restaurants and food dishes are their favorites. So far, none have disappointed! Probably my two favorite trips were going to Switzerland and skiing the Alps and paragliding and going Prague, Czech Republic. One of my favorite activities is skiing and being able to ski the Alps was a mesmerizing experience. Overall, I have had an amazing abroad experience and look forward to all the upcoming adventures in the future!
Favorite thing about theta: My favorite thing about Theta is that I am able to talk to anyone about anything. Each person is willing to help you and goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and included. Although I am abroad, I can honestly say that I miss Theta and sitting on the couch on Friday mornings for brunch at the house listening to everyone talk about their week’s activities.
